Luxury at its best: British Airways launches new first class cabin
Last week, British Airways unveiled the new first class cabin, which combines typical British elegance with quality finishes, offering a unique touch of luxury for passengers on transatlantic flights. It is part of the A380 aircraft modernization process, which will be completed in mid-2026.
British Airways is the only airline in Europe to offer first class cabins on transatlantic flights from London to the United States. Carefully designed, the first class cabin offers customers a contemporary luxury hotel-like experience, combining comfort with exquisite British-inspired details.
The new cabin includes a wider and longer seat that converts into a 201cm bed, a 32-inch 4K TV screen and a fold-out table. The cabin has adjustable ambient lighting in ‘relax’, ‘dinner’ and ‘cinema’ modes and offers a space optimized for privacy and comfort, as well as a luggage compartment.
Passengers traveling in the middle of the aircraft can slide the divider down to create a common seating area, and fold-down tables allow them to enjoy a ‘dinner for two’ right from their seats.
The airline continues to invest in improving the passenger experience and has already implemented more than 120 initiatives as part of its nearly £7 billion modernization process (new short-haul seats, free in-flight Wi-Fi messaging and lounge upgrades across its global network).
