Air France unveiled the refreshed La Première lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport this summer. Spanning more than 1,000 square meters, the lounge offers a welcoming, sophisticated setting that complements the La Première experience, together with dedicated airport services and the onboard suites available on selected Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Located in Terminal 2E, the lounge was redesigned by Air France teams in collaboration with agency MARKS Brandimage. The updated lounge builds on the concept introduced in summer 2024. Warm materials, sophisticated lighting, and generous proportions create an inviting ambiance.
French Gastronomy and Premium Service
At the heart of the lounge is an expanded restaurant, where guests can dine in an elegant setting.
The menu, developed by Alain Ducasse and his teams, celebrates French cuisine. Highlights include coquillettes with ham and black truffle, seasonal vegetarian dishes, and the Armagnac baba made famous in Monte Carlo. The food is complemented by a selection of wines and Champagnes curated by Xavier Thuizat, Air France’s head sommelier, including carefully selected grand cru wines.
In 2025, Skytrax awarded the restaurant first prize for the world’s best First Class lounge dining experience.
Relaxation, Rest, and Work at the La Première Lounge
The relaxation area in La Première lounge has been completely redesigned with armchairs, sofas, alcoves, and screens that provide individual places to unwind. Among the furnishings is the Ribbon chair by French designer Pierre Paulin. A selection of photographs reflecting Air France’s history further reinforces the airline’s identity.
The lounge features an enlarged Sisley spa with two treatment rooms. Before a daytime or overnight flight, or between connections, guests can choose treatments according to the time available.
The rest area has also been redesigned. Individual rooms have daybeds, duvets, and pillows and are intended for quiet breaks and relaxation.
Passengers who need to attend to work before departure can also do so at the lounge, including in a private booth for calls and confidential conversations.
At the entrance, AF001, a fragrance created by French master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, artistic director of Maison Francis Kurkdjian, adds a distinctive touch.
A New Artwork Every Six Months
Every six months, Air France displays a new large-scale artwork by an acclaimed artist in the La Première lounge. At its reopening, guests can admire a Wonder Block by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel.
Created especially for the setting, the original work combines shades of amber and Indian pink. Its monolithic, almost monumental form suggests a wall, a pillar, or a totem, balancing sculptural strength with delicacy.
Private Suites Measuring 45 Square Meters
Next to the lounge are three private suites measuring 45 square meters each, which La Première guests can reserve for a little peace and quiet before a flight or between connections. Introduced in summer 2024, the suites can be booked individually, while two can be connected on request.
Each suite comprises a spacious living room, bedroom with a double bed, bathroom, and outdoor terrace. Artworks fit naturally into the decor, and guests are welcomed with Champagne and Sturia caviar.
Conceived as secluded retreats, the suites also allow guests to enjoy dishes from the menu served in the La Première lounge.
Investments like these show how important the time spent on the ground before boarding has become for frequent business travelers and other professionals. If you’re planning a connection through the French capital, Aerotravel consultants can help you find the right fare and most convenient flights so the time between departures becomes an advantage rather than simply a wait.
