Touristanbul is a free service offered by Turkish Airlines exclusively to passengers with international flights connecting through Istanbul. Passengers holding Turkish Airlines tickets with a layover between 6 and 24 hours, and flight times that align with the tour schedules, can use Touristanbul to discover the history, culture, and natural beauty of Istanbul during their layover.

The tours are organized daily throughout the year, featuring six different programs and 19 routes each week. Tours start and end at Istanbul Airport and include a guide, meals, transport, and museum entry fees—all covered by Turkish Airlines.

Touristanbul gives you the chance to visit the city’s iconic tourist attractions and some of the world’s most famous monuments, such as Hagia Sophia, Dolmabahçe Palace, Topkapı Palace, or the Blue Mosque.

You will feel the vibrant energy of Istanbul, delight in the flavors of traditional Turkish and Ottoman cuisine served in an elegant restaurant, and, of course, admire the spectacular panorama of the legendary Bosphorus.

Below is the map featuring the most important sites you can visit with Touristanbul.

• Passengers must have an international connecting flight at Istanbul Airport.
• Layover time must be at least 6 hours and no more than 24 hours, and the tour schedule must be compatible with the flight schedule.
• All passengers (including those with online reservations) must report to the Touristanbul desk in the Arrivals area at least 30 minutes before the tour departure. Important! Usually, the walk from the arrival gate to the desk takes about 45 minutes, including passport control.

• Departure and arrival flights must be on the same booking (same PNR).
• Participants must hold a Turkish Airlines ticket starting with the number 235.
• Passengers can book online by entering their booking code (PNR) or ticket number and surname on the Turkish Airlines website.
• After the tour, passengers must return to the Departures terminal at least 1 hour and 25 minutes before their scheduled flight.
• Passengers cannot use both Touristanbul and the hotel service during the same layover.
• Romanian citizens can enter Turkey without a visa, using only their ID card (see Travel Conditions for Turkey).

There are two Touristanbul desks at Istanbul Airport: one in Arrivals and one in the Transfer area. At the transfer desk, you can check eligibility and tour details, but registration for tours is done only at the Arrivals desk. Passengers must arrive at this desk at least 30 minutes before the tour begins.
