When your Turkish Airlines flight includes a layover in Istanbul, you can enjoy free hotel accommodation and the opportunity to discover the legendary city on the Bosphorus at your own pace.
The Most Pleasant Surprise: Stopover in Istanbul!
The Stopover in Istanbul program offers Turkish Airlines passengers free accommodation in the airline’s partner hotels, providing a worry-free chance to explore the city.
The accommodation service within this program is also available to passengers whose journeys originate from an airport in Romania. They can benefit from the program once during a round-trip flight, either on the outbound or return leg.
Those wishing to use the service on the return leg must ensure that the country of the departure flight is on the list of countries included in the program, available HERE (in the Countries Included in the Stopover Service section, click on More information). In this section, you will also find that each country has a dedicated email address where you can send your reservation request.
Who Can Benefit from Stopover?
Passengers traveling from one international destination to another international destination, with a layover at Istanbul Airport of at least 20 hours and a maximum of 7 days, are eligible for free accommodation in Istanbul.
What Does the Stopover Program Offer?
Passengers receive free accommodation, including breakfast, in partner hotels in Istanbul. Economy Class passengers are entitled to 1 night of accommodation in a 4-star hotel, while Business Class passengers are entitled to 2 nights in a 5-star or boutique hotel.
How Do You Apply for Stopover?
Once the ticket issuance process is complete, you must send your request at least 72 hours before the flight preceding the accommodation. To apply, visit the dedicated Stopover page and choose one of two options:
- In the dedicated box, enter your ticket number or reservation code (PNR) and your surname;
- Send the request to the Stopover email address corresponding to your country of departure.
Have a pleasant journey!
