Digital Boarding Pass – Simpler, Faster, More Eco-Friendly
Ryanair will introduce 100% digital boarding starting Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, choosing this less crowded period to ensure a smooth transition without inconvenience for passengers.
The switch to a fully digital system means that, from November 12th, paper boarding passes will no longer be accepted. Passengers will need to use the digital boarding pass, automatically generated in the airline’s app during the check-in process, to board the aircraft.
How do you obtain the digital boarding pass?
- Download the app on your smartphone or tablet – available on the App Store, Google Play, and the official website: https://mntapplnk.ryanair.com/1/link/download.
- Log in to your account and access your reservation.
- Perform the online check-in as usual.
The digital boarding pass will appear automatically in the app and will be available offline.
A Complete Digital Experience Aboard Ryanair
This change is part of an extensive digitalization process of the low-cost carrier’s flight experience, which has already implemented several modern features designed to improve travel comfort and efficiency:
- Order to Seat: Order food and drinks directly from the app and get served first.
- Real-time flight information: Live updates regarding boarding, gates, and potential delays.
- Direct notifications in case of disruptions: Real-time alerts from the airline’s Operations Center in unforeseen situations.
According to the company, nearly 80% of its passengers already use the digital boarding pass. The full transition to this system from November 12th, 2025, follows the trend of other industries, such as festivals, music events, and sports competitions, which have successfully adopted exclusively digital tickets.
